Weather in Sacred Valley
Find out the latest weather in the Sacred Valley with our six-day Sacred Valley weather forecast below.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is at an altitude of 2800 metres above sea level and has a moderate climate, making it popular with tourists. The ancient Peruvians also recognised the valley’s congenial climate and came here to seek cures from diseases.
With its elevation, the valley has mainly two seasons – wet and dry. It rains during the months of November through April. During this period, it may rain heavily without warning and the skies may be overcast, but a lush green cover flourishes on the hills because of the rainfall. It is quite pleasant and hot during this season. Even if the temperatures in the Sacred Valley are high around this time, a cool breeze is always blowing. Even though there is a lot of vegetation, there are no mosquitoes here.
From May to October, the valley experiences the dry season when the skies are vividly clear and blue. The brilliance of the night skies with all the stars can be a magnificent sight, but nights can be freezing cold around dawn.
